Cornell University Chorus and Glee Club Homecoming Concert

What do we consider our shelter? Does it have to be a physical place or can it be a state of being, thinking, or communing with others? Does our "home"--natural, physical, or emotional--shelter us? What can threaten that? Join the Cornell Chorus and Glee Club for their annual Homecoming Concert: Shelter in the Storm. The concert will feature an eclectic range of pieces for treble, tenor-bass, and mixed choir ranging from the Renaissance to contemporary works. Composers hail from across the centuries and the world, including Laura Jekabsone, Shruthi Rajasekar, Jeffrey Ames, Josef Rheinberger, Florence Price, Pavel Chesnokov, and more. Spirited Cornell songs about our home on the hill will round out the evening, and the concert will finish in time for patrons to catch the exciting fireworks display on Schoellkopf Field for a complete Homecoming weekend experience.
